About Nolan
After picking up the guitar at age 10, Nolan’s love of music making has inspired him to become a guitarist, vocalist, songwriter, arranger, and producer. Furthermore, he currently studies at Millikin University's School of Music, from which he will graduate in Spring 2025 with a B.M in Commercial Music.
Nolan has performed in many bands, with genres spanning from rock, metal, pop, country, and much more! His collegiate studies have also given him much training in the jazz and classical traditions through applied lessons in both styles, as well as his performance experience in multiple instrumental and vocal jazz ensembles, as well as classical guitar ensembles and choirs. Nolan was presented with Millikin's William Eichenauer Guitar Award in 2024, which is presented to guitarists who demonstrate self-motivation and leadership, as well as maintain a 3.2 GPA or higher.
Nolan has also cultivated a love for the recording studio at Millikin. He was selected to be a studio manager for Millitrax, Millikin's recording studios, in 2024. In addition to this, he was also chosen to attend Welcome to 1979's Recording Summit the same year. In the studio, Nolan has done session guitar work as well as recorded and produced his own original music, and also recorded and produced other students' projects. The most notable example of this is “The Road Home,” Nolan’s debut EP which will be released this Spring!
